The YRHS senior boys volleyball team is hosting their home tournament this weekend, says coach Dion Pfeifer. This year's tournament marks the 40th anniversary for the YRHS senior boys team hosting, notes Pfeifer. The round robin starts on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Teams competing include Prince Albert St. Mary and Carlton, Moose Jaw Central and AE Peacock, Sacred Heart and others.
The Yorkton Terriers are in for a seven-game road trip that will start on the weekend when they take on the Kindersley Klippers for back-to-back games this weekend. The road swing will take them to Nov. 17 when they're in Weyburn. The Terriers had one last home match before the end of October which was Tuesday night against the Bruins.
The Yorkton Harvest are coming off of their second road win of the season Sunday when they beat Prince Albert (See story on Page A16). The Harvest will look to continue their winning ways when they travel up north to the Battlefords where they will play back-to-back games against the AAA Stars. The first game is on Saturday and the second is a rare 11 a.m., start on Sunday morning.
