The senior boys' YRHS basketball team didn't go to their tournament in Moose Jaw this past weekend because of poor weather conditions. The senior girls' YRHS basketball team played two games in Kamsack over the weekend.

The senior girls' YRHS basketball team played two games in Kamsack over the weekend. They won both of their matches, beating Canora 54-35 and Kamsack 72-34.

The YRHS junior girls' basketball club cancelled their home tournament this past weekend because of the poor weather conditions.


The SHHS senior boys and girls' basketball squads didn't travel to Moose Jaw over the weekend for their respective tournaments because of the poor weather conditions.


The Yorkton Premier Cabinets Peewee club fell 6-5 in overtime to the Melville Machine in the B semi-final at their home tournament this past weekend.


The Gallagher Centre held a juniors bonspiel last weekend. Foam Lake won the boys and mixed sides and Ituna took the girls side. YRHS finished second among girls and third in mixed. St. Michaels finished fifth among boys.


Xtreme Cage Wars hold their first Yorkton-based event on January 19 at the Gallagher Centre. The event's main attraction is a lightweight title match between Saskatoon native Dauda Keita and Winnipeg native Ryan Starkell.
