The Cab Female Athlete for the Month of June is known as one of the hardest working athletes in the history of the Sacred Heart track program. Brooke Mentanko has proved herself to be a good leader over her time at Sacred Heart. Her coaches say this Gr. 12 student provides an excellent example with her dedication and intense training for her fellow teammates. At districts she won gold in the 400m, 800m, 1500m and 3000m races which earned her the Senior Girls Aggregate Award. She advanced to provincials where she placed in eighth on the 4 x 100 relay team. She earned a bronze medal in the 800m and she won a provincial silver medal in the 1500m race. Next year, she will be competing for the University of Saskatchewan track program. The Cab Athlete of the Month is Brooke Mentanko The Cab Male athlete for the Month of June is a member of the Sacred Heart track and field team. Gr. 9 student Caleb Sutter has made some great strides in each of his events throughout the season even though he was involved in several other activities. At the district meet he won silver in javelin and a bronze in the 100m race and advanced to the provincial meet. At provincials he was selected to be part of the East Central 4 x 100 relay team which won the bronze medal. The male athlete of the month is Caleb Sutter.
