Ten Yorkton bantam Terriers were named to the zone four (orange) U16 Sask First team.
The bantam Terriers who made the squad are as follows. Forwards: Kylan Shea (U.C.T AA), Brennan Watson (U.C.T AA), JJ Fofonoff (U.C.T AA), Brayden Miller (U.C.T AA), and Joshua Rohatynsky (U.C.T AA). Defencemen: Matthew Wilgosh (U.C.T AA), Jonah Sutter (U.C.T AA), Mason Plews (U.C.T AA), and T.J. McBride (Dr Auto A). Goaltender: Braidon Berezowski (U.C.T AA).
Despite the strong Yorkton showing, bantam AA Terriers head coach Damon Kustra felt some Terriers that were left off the team deserved a roster spot.
"I thought there were a couple more players from my squad that should have made the team," he said. "I know they worked hard all year and I thought they have the talent to be on the team."
The Orange Sask First team will compete with Saskatchewan's other seven zones in March. Of the eight zones, the Saskatchewan Hockey Association chooses 40 players to represent their province at the Hockey Canada National High Performance Program.
