Results from the first week of action in the Richardson Pioneer Men鈥檚 Fastball League are in.
The Rosebud Royals defeated Fishing Lake Cubs 8-5, the Foam Lake Merchants topped Da Boyz (Gordon鈥檚) 7-0 and 15-5, while the Wynyard Blues came out of top of Da Boyz 13-1 and 8-2.

On Thursday May 10th resulted in an 8-5 win for the hometown Royals in Wadena. The Royals jumped out to an early lead in the game and pitcher James Holowaty held on for the complete game win despite the Cubs rallying in the later innings. 听

Da Boyz @ Foam Lake Merchants
The double header in Foam Lake Friday, May 11, where in game one saw the Merchants win 7-0 with James Anderson getting the win on the mound.听 听

In the second game Da Boyz got on the board with 5 runs but couldn鈥檛 keep the Merchants bats quite allowing 15. Merchants Brodie Lamb hit a homerun, Carter McLean had two triples, and Ryan Junop was the winning pitcher.

Da Boyz @ Wynyard Blues
The double header in Wynyard Saturday May 12 saw the Blues jump out to an early 7-0 lead in the first inning of game one, in part by Mike Jordan鈥檚 three- run home run. Josh Jordan was the starting pitcher and threw four innings. Mike Jordan threw the last inning for the Blues in the 13-1 game.

In game two the Blues jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of one. Da Boyz scored two in the bottom of the first to tie things up. The Blues scored six in the top of the third inning to make it 8-2. That鈥檚 how the game would end. Tayler Jordan pitched four innings and hit a home run for the Blues. Mike Jordan came on in relief to throw one inning.
