On a blustery Father’s Day Sunday afternoon the Rhein Rockets headed south down Highway #10 to play a doubleheader against the Balcarres Bronx.
In game one Bronx pitcher Darian Bellegarde-Cote pretty much mesmerized Rocket batters limiting Rhein to a single run on the way to a 6-1 win.
Brett Peppler toed the circle for the Rockets, going the distance and taking the loss.
Game two would be a closer affair with Rhein veteran Terry Peppler throwing against Colby Davidson for the Bronx.
In the end Balcarres would sweep the set taking game two 4-3.
Next action for the Rockets is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. in Rhein when they host the Foam Lake Merchants.
