Preeceville students do well at track-and-field meet in Yorkton

Preeceville School students participated in and received winning ribbons in the Solestice Classic track-and-field meet held at the Yorkton Regional High School on May 13.

            Preeceville School students participated in and received winning ribbons in the Solestice Classic track-and-field meet held at the Yorkton Regional High School on May 13.

            Hudsyn Nelson won first place in the 80-metre, 150-metre, ball throw and running long jump.

            Camryn Neslon won third place in the ball throw category.

            Luke Sandager won second place in running long jump and third place in the 50-metre and 100-metre races.

            Tess Covlin won first in ball throw, long jump, 50-metre race and the 100-metre dash.

            William Larson won first place in ball throw.

            Beau Covlin participated in various events.

            Hudsyn, Camryn, Luke, Tess and William will be advancing to the Solestice Classic provincials being held in Saskatoon on June 17, said Shannon Nelson, a mother of one of the athletes.
