Preeceville Pats novice hockey team concludes its season

The Preeceville Pats novice hockey team concluded its season on a high note with a win against the Kamsack Flyers on March 13. The final score of the game was 16-7 and was held in Preeceville.

The Preeceville Pats novice hockey team concluded its season on a high note with a win against the Kamsack Flyers on March 13. The final score of the game was 16-7 and was held in Preeceville.

Scoring for Preeceville were: Trae Peterson (eight goals), Bracyn Konkel (six goals), Carsyn Galiz and Darian Serdachny. Assists were by Bracyn Konkel, Carsyn Galiz, Trae Peterson and Connor Burym.

The novice team concluded its season with a record of 11 wins and three losses. Kent Seerey, Dean Serdachny, Conrad Peterson and Derek Ryczak were the coaches.

The players were: Hudysn Maier, Luke Sandager, Darian Serdachny, Erron Bochnuik, Connor Burym, Trae Peterson, Alex Neilson, Parker Ryczak, Avyn Seerey, Bracyn Konkel and Carsyn Galiz. 聽聽聽聽聽

Tournaments in which the team had competed during the season included: Pats home tournament on November 25 and 26; Foam Lake, December 10; Canora, January 14, and Swan River, January 27 to 29.

鈥淭he novice team placed either first or second in all the tournaments,鈥 said Kent Seerey, coach.

鈥淲ith a short bench the Pats were very a dedicated group of kids who showed up to play each and every day,鈥 Seerey said. 鈥淭he members of the team worked hard in practice and in games.

鈥淭hey love to win just as much as they loved to have fun,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hey respected their coaches and were always willing to listen to what they had to say, especially when it meant to challenge themselves on improving their own skills.

鈥(They鈥檙e) a great bunch of kids and parents who enjoy hockey and the positive aspects that come with it,鈥 he said. 鈥淭he season was full of success on and off the ice.鈥

Players moving up to atoms are Luke Sandager, Erron Bochnuik, Alex Neilson, Parker Ryczak, Bracyn Konkel and Avyn Seerey.
