Preeceville midget hockey team kicks off season with a win

The Preeceville Pats Midget hockey team took to the ice in its first home game of the regular season with a 5-4 win over Yorkton Remax midgets on November 1. Preeceville struck first early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead.

            The Preeceville Pats Midget hockey team took to the ice in its first home game of the regular season with a 5-4 win over Yorkton Remax midgets on November 1.

            Preeceville struck first early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. The second period had both teams trading goals for a tie score after the second period. The third period had Preeceville scoring another three goals to take the lead and win.

            Players who scored for Preeceville were: Cody Hort (two goals), Shelby Wallin, Dylan Wiwcharuk and Hunter Shankowsky.

            Assists were by Sean Paligan, Carter Masley and Connor Nagy.

            The midgets next home game is scheduled for November 12 against Yorkton.

            Other teams scheduled to play home hockey games include the atoms on November 11 and 12, while the two peewee teams will be in action on November 12.
