Preeceville football camp said to bring out best in players

The Preeceville Panther football program held its annual fall conditioning camp that focused on players performances during the week of August 28 to September 1.

            The Preeceville Panther football program held its annual fall conditioning camp that focused on players performances during the week of August 28 to September 1.

            Doug King is the head coach; Jeremy Mattison, defensive co-ordinator; Bill Dodge, offensive co-ordinator, and Kenton Hull is a new helper.

            "There were 19 players from Preeceville and Sturgis that came out for practices," said Mattison. "This is a rebuilding year for the team with a combination of new and returning players.

“We will be working on conditioning, timing, systems and contact play," he said.

            The conference that the team is in includes teams from Weyburn, Watrous, Lanigan, Davidson and Assiniboia.

            The first game for Preeceville will be on September 8.
