The Preeceville Curling Club concluded another successful season, reported Lynn Ager, secretary.

The season has ended and we are winding things down at the rink," she said. The club hosted its regular curling, two-on-two curling and school curling from November till the beginning of March. The open bonspiel was held from February 26 to March 5, she said. There was a great turnout by representatives of teams entered and everything went well.

The seniors bonspiel, the two-person redeye bonspiel and the open bonspiel were well attended and successful. The club purchased a new sign for the outside of the curling rink. It was made by Allan Happy Signs and it looks great, said Ager. Some of the other items upgraded in the rink this year were new scoreboards on the sheets of ice and the new sinks in the kitchen. The club also hosted a few wing nights throughout the season, she said. All were very successful.

We are purchasing new chairs and a new microwave for the kitchen. We are also preparing to do a few minor repairs that need to be done and then we will be painting the lobby and all the main floor of the rink.â€
