Members of the Canora Richardson Pioneer Peewee Baseball teamwere able to experience what it would be like to play in the Western Major Baseball League in Yorkton on
June 16.
The players were the guests of the Yorkton Cardinals, which were playing host to the Lethbridge Bulls at Jubilee Park. Kody Rock of Canora, the Cardinals’ starting pitcher, had Clay Sleeva, the Peewees’ pitcher, throw the ceremonial first pitch, said Darryl Rock, Kody’s father. Clay is the son of Jennifer and Shawn.

Kody Rock of Canora was the starting pitcher for Yorkton Cardinals last week when they played host to the Lethbridge Bulls in the Western Major Baseball League.
The Peewees soaked in the excitement from the time they were first introduced to the Cardinals, said Rock. They kidded around in the dugout and many brought balls and
hats to be signed by the Cardinals.
When the Cardinals were officially introduced at the beginning of the game, the Canora players stood up alongside them and were also introduced, said Rock. The Canora players remained on the
field for the American and Canadian national anthems.
