The Broken Arrow Archery Club's annual indoor 3D archery shoot at the Gallagher Centre on Saturday, January 26 had a great turnout.

"It's a packed house in here," said Broken Arrow Archery Club president Dale Hintz at noon on the day of the shoot. "It's great to see all of these people come out for the event. A lot of people involved in archery have come out and other people that want to know what it is all about also showed up."

The indoor 3D archery shoot has been a tradition in Yorkton for roughly 20 years with the Broken Arrow Archery club holding an annual summer and winter event.

"The club and archery community always looks forward to our annual events," said Hintz. "We hold one in winter and another in June."

The top shooters at the event were rewarded with prizes donated by local businesses to the archery organization.

"Local businesses donated about 70 prizes to our club," says Hintz. "The top shooters win prizes and there are also silent-auction items for anyone to bid on."

Until their next event, the Broken Arrow Archery Club will be honing their shooting skills twice a week.

"We practice every Tuesday and Wednesday at the gun club," says Hintz. "It's a lot of fun and a great way to improve on your shooting. We've been getting more and more people interested in archery. I think it's definitely growing in this area."
