They are once again hoping to pack the stands tonight (March 23) as the 25th Annual Student/Teacher benefit hockey game takes place at the Gallagher Centre.
Students from the Yorkton Regional High School and the Sacred Heart High School will team up with those from the Melville Comprehensive School to play against their teacher.
Each year, there is a beneficiary of the game.
This year, the money raised will go towards Melissa Mish.
She is a Gr. 10 student at the Melville high school and member of the Prairie Fire Midget AAA girls' hockey team.
She was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease and will need to travel between Regina and Winnipeg over the next several months for chemotherapy treatment.
Organizers of the benefit game are hoping to collect as many donations as possible for the game.
With the donation comes recognition at the game, including the company/business name being included in the hockey game program as well as being announced over the speakers during the game.
Cheques can be made payable to Sacred Heart High School (memo: teacher/student benefit game).
Donations can also be mailed to the school at the following address: Sacred Heart High School, 280 Gladstone, Yorkton, SK, S3N 2Z3. Any questions concerning the game or making donations can be made by contacting Perry Enns or Dean DePape at Sacred Heart at 783-3128.
Tickets for the game are available for $2 each at the door or by contacting Enns or DePape at SHHS..
