It was quite the weekend for Caylee Hiebert at the Speedway last weekend.
She won three races on Saturday alone and took quite a jump upwards in the standings following her weekend at the Yellowhead International Speedway during PRA racing.
She won two heat races in the early going on Saturday and won the Features race.
"The race day on Saturday was excellent," she said over the telephone following her win.
"I couldn't think of one thing that was wrong. I had the best luck with my car."
She said that her good luck continued into the Ladies' race where all went well for her there, too.
"I raced in the Ladies' race with the vice president's car and I ended up coming first in that one as well," claims Hiebert, sounding a little in disbelief on her recorded phone message.
Hiebert and the other racers haven't had a whole lot of time in this season as race dates have been continually cancelled or postponed for various reason.
It was the first time this summer that races have been held on both days of the weekend. Saturday's weather held off just long enough for Hiebert to continue, but Sunday she said "was a little different story."The track was muddy," she said, sounding like she was about to break out laughing over the phone."I ended up getting third."
The second heat was halfway done, I was out in front, then the rimhead broke."
She didn't have the same luck she had earlier in the weekend.
The next race in the PRA schedule will be Sept. 18-19. Sept. 19 will feature a demolition derby.
