One hundred and fifty-six of the world's top professional golf players take on the most challenging course on the Canadian Tour, the Dakota Dunes Golf Links July 5-8.
Arden Knoll, formerly of Yorkton will be playing in the Canadian Tour tournament, the Dakota Dunes Casino Open at the Dakota Dunes Golf Links south of Saskatoon.
"It's a developmental tour for guys hoping to get to the PGA," says Knoll.
"It's helpful for me," he said, noting that his current ambition is to head to California to compete in the Champions Tour for seniors.
"I'm just preparing myself."
Knoll said he is returning to professional golf where he will compete against players likely of all ages in Saskatoon.
He is going to fins out where he stands amongst the other competitors.
"It's a very good tour," he told the paper, adding that Mike Weir had played on it previously.
