The Yorkton United Chelsea U12 soccer club travelled to Saskatoon on the Dec. 10-12 weekend to participate in the annual SISCO Division II soccer tournament. Again, United Chelsea had a successful performance.

The first round robin game was a tight defensive battle with Yorkton coming out on the winning side with a 1-0 win.

Kaden Hilts scored the winning goal with Nathan Cochrane making several key saves to record the shutout.

The next game was much the same as defence was predominant in a 1-1 tie between Chelsea and the Hollandia Gremio from Saskatoon.

Derek Campbell was the only Chelsea player able to get a goal past the Gremio goalkeeper. Chelsea played its third round robin game against fellow teammates from Yorkton the United Bulldogs.

It was a tightly matched game going scoreless late into the second half when Matthew Cochrane exploded for three unanswered goals to spark Chelsea to a 3-0 win. The final round robin game for Chelsea had them in a hard fought back and forth match against the Aurora Corsairs.

Neither team could gain a distinct advantage as the score finished in a 3-3 tie. This was all Chelsea needed to move into Sunday's final and an anticipated rematch with the Gremios.

The first half was close with the Gremios able to score the only goal. The second half was a different story as the Gremios played a stellar final half to gain a 5-1 victory. The weekend was filled with exciting and competitive play from all teams and coach Andy Wyatt was impressed with the level of skill and teamwork.
