This past Sunday on March 3, Yorkton sent 25 bowlers to compete in the Four Steps to Stardom Provincial Bowling competition. For the fourth year in a row, Yorkton brought home a new provincial champion banner to hang in the bowl arena. This year's provincial gold medal winners are the combo boys team consisting of: bantam bowler Matthew Washington, junior bowler Tanner Washington, senior bowler Bryce Newton and coach Leona Pinno.
Other notable achievements: bantam boys singles: Jairus Pellatt - bronze medal 2013; bantam girls team: Kayla Exner, Haley Schrader, Madison Varga, Reanna Prychak, and coach Jenn Kostiuk - bronze medal; junior boys singles: Devon Cross - Silver Medal 2013; junior boys team: Tyler Rathgeber, Evan Lajambe, Cody Lacelle, Brad Newton and Coach Trent Aichele - silver medal; senior boys singles: Ryan Lebo - silver medal 2013.
Honourable mention: Ryan Lebo bowled an average of 280 over five games, just missing the gold medal by seven pins.
