Following their come-from-behind win over the Swan River Reds (4-10), the Yorkton Cardinals (5-8-1) will advance to play the Canora Supers (7-6-1) in a best-of-3 tilt that was scheduled to get started Monday evening at the Al Sapieha Field.

Game two of that series is scheduled for tonight in Yorkton. Should they require a third and deciding game, it will go Friday night back in Super territory.

Meanwhile, the Langenburg Indians (6-8) and Melville Bison (6-8) will go head to head in the other best-of-three series that will see the Indians hold home field advantage.

That series was to kick off last night in Langenburg. Game two is scheduled for tonight (Wednesday) in Melville, while a third and deciding affair is slated for Friday night in Langenburg.

The league's other two clubs, the Yankees (12-1-1) and the Royals (12-2-0) are on hold while they await the winners of the first round of action.
