The Yorkton Bantam AA Terriers made it four straight games without a loss on Saturday, January 19 against the Humboldt Broncos, running away with a commanding 7-2 win.

The Broncos took an early lead just 14:09 into the opening period with Reagan Poncelet potting one past Terriers puck-stopper Carter Park.

The Terriers quickly responded, though. Not even two minutes later, Mason Plews notched his third of the year to tie the game up at one.

The latter half of the first period was a scoring frenzy. Broncos' Maguire Blair lit the lamp, followed by Terriers' Derrick Budz and Brennan Watson to give Yorkton a 3-2 lead.

Yorkton's Josh Rohatynsky and Logan Foster scored the only markers of the second period, putting the Terriers up by three.

The Terriers closed out the game with an exceptional third period performance, outshooting the Broncos 11-6. Brett Melnychuk and Watson netted one apiece to wrap up the game.

The 8-7-4 Terriers now sit in sixth spot in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League's Â鶹´«Ã½AV Division.

With the second-place Swift Current Kabos Raiders only up on them by four points, there is ample opportunity for the Terriers to continue to climb the standings with eight regular-season games left on their schedule.

Yorkton's next match is on the road against the Regina Pat Blues on Tuesday, January 22.
