The Yorkton Regional High School hosted the ECDAA junior badminton district championships on May 4. Sixty-four athletes representing 12 schools participated.
From round robin play, four teams qualified for the medal round. The Yorkton Regional High School's Brandey Blahut won bronze in the girls' singles category. while schoolmates Chantell Washek and Jodi Onda-Inglis won bronze in the girls' doubles category. The YRHS placed second overall in aggregated standings with 39 points.
Sacred Heart finished with eight points.
