CALDER - Summer reading
The Calder Playschool has ended for another year. On Wed., May 4, 2011, the playschool students enjoyed the day with pizza, doing crafts and receiving their grad hats and diplomas.

The month community potluck supper was held on May 11 at the Hut with two dozen people in attendance. As Mother's Day had just passed, Eva Huber donated a basket of Avon products which was used as a door prize for all the ladies in attendance.

BREDENBURY - Wind up held
The Quad Derby and Trade Show took place at the rink on Sat., May 7 and was sponsored by the Bredenbury Lions Club and Minor Sports. There were approximately 130 machines that took part in the derby.

April Rohatensky of Calgary, along with Madison Rohatensky of Calgary, motored to Calder to bring Marie Rohatensky home. Marie Rohatensky had been spending the winter months with her children in Calgary and Kelowna, BC.
