SASKATOON — Upate: The moose near Taylor Street and Ewert Avenue were captured for later release at a safe location by members from the Ministry of Environment. SPS would like to thank the public for their cooperation.
Original release: Saskatoon Police Service is asking the public to stay away from two moose visiting the area close to Taylor Street and Ewert Avenue.
The residential area on the east side of the city has been cordoned off and police and animal control officers are on site.
“SPS would like to remind the public to not approach or chase the animals so as to not antagonize them,” stated a release issued Tuesday morning.
The release stated they were contacting conservation officers to help deal with the animals.
