The Canora fire department received a call of a grain truck on fire next to a chicken barn on the west side of Canora at about 5:45 p.m. on November 6. It was just a small fire, likely caused by a short in the cord to the block heater, said Michael Doogan, fire chief. The department had the fire out quickly and the fire never spread to a chicken barn.
