Town of Sturgis receives beautification grant

聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 "It meant a lot to the Town to receive this grant in the amount of $1,473," said Olivia Bartch, Sturgis adminstrator.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 "We used the grant money this summer to聽 purchase flowerpots, flowers and trees to help showcase the beauty of the Town of Sturgis,鈥 said Amanda Masley, assistant administrator. 鈥淲e were notified that we received the grant in June and we were able to utilize it in the summer.鈥

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Community Futures Venturesis committed to serving the communities of east central Saskatchewan," said Corinne Lubiniecki, general manager for聽 Community Ventures.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The region spans a distance of approximately 250 kilometres on an east/west basis from the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border to Strasbourg, and 200 kilometers on a north/south basis from Preeceville to 麻豆传媒AVey, including all the rural municipalities in this area. The area includes one city, 29 RMs, 37 villages, 11 towns, and seven First Nations.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 "Community Futures has been in the business of encouraging and supporting our communities, our volunteers and our small business owners for more than 25 years,鈥 said Lubiniecki. 鈥淲e know what it takes to start and grow a business, to raise money for a community project or organize to provide a much needed community service.鈥
