SASKATOON — Saskatoon Police Service has made another arrest in connection with the death of Megan Gallagher.
On July 27, John Wayne Sanderson, 44, was taken into custody by members of the Melfort RCMP, at James Smith First Nation.
In total four people have been charged and arrested. John Wayne Sanderson was the last of three people the Saskatoon Police Service had asked the public to help them locate in a release issued earlier this year.
Sanderson is charged with indignity to human remains and also has unrelated warrants with the RCMP. He is expected to appear via video in Melfort Provincial Court, on July 28.
The second of the three persons wanted in connection with the death of Megan Gallagher was arrested by the RCMP on June 4. Jessica Sutherland, age 42, was taken into custody by members of the RCMP in the area of Onion Lake following a tip from the public. She is also charged with indignity to human remains.
Roderick William Sutherland, age 44, was taken into custody May 31 by members of the RCMP in the area of Prince Albert following a tip from the public. He also is charged with indignity to human remains.
Ernest Vernon Whitehead, 41, was the first arrest made in connection with the death of Megan Gallagher. Gallagher was last seen in Saskatoon in September of 2020.
