The Sturgis Composite High School opened its doors and welcomed students back for another school year on September 1.

The biggest change the school faced this year was the decommissioning of the upstairs portion of the school. All rooms that were previously occupied were relocated down-stairs and that includes the computer lab and a few offices.

鈥淭he entire upstairs are scheduled to be blocked off for safety of the students,鈥 said Janet Roelens, administrator.

Roelens is scheduled to work half time with Terry Zawislak doing the other half time position for administration at the SCHS. Megan Clansy is new to the school and will be teaching science. Allyson Grywacheski is filling in during Kirsten Peterson鈥檚 maternity leave position teaching ELA.
