Saskatoon Police charge two men with drug trafficking

Police seized 99.4 grams of crack cocaine, $9,770 cash, shotgun ammunition, 40 packs of illicit cigarettes, and four cellular devices.

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team arrested two men following an investigation.

The CRT seized 99.4 grams of crack cocaine, $9,770 cash, shotgun ammunition, 40 packs of illicit cigarettes, and four cellular devices.

On Oct. 21 at around 1:45 p.m., officers arrested a 24-year-old man suspected of trafficking cocaine, in a parking lot near the intersection of 8th Street East and Grosvenor Avenue.

He was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Then at around 4:30 p.m., a 25-year-old man was also arrested in the 2400 block of Louise Street. Search warrants were then executed on two residences; one in the 200 block of Emmeline Road, the other in the 1600 block of Preston Avenue Â鶹´«Ã½AV.

He was charged with possession of cocaine, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
