SASKATOON — Patrick and Lauren Hnidy could hardly believe it when they checked their WESTERN 649 ticket and discovered the EXTRA they added to their ticket won $100,000 on the Feb. 5 draw.
"It feels 100 times better to win than what I actually would have thought," Patrick said. “You only dream about winning."
Lauren agreed with him. "You always think about 'what if?'" she said. "Well, it’s absolutely surreal!"
The Hnidys won their windfall by matching six of the seven digits of the EXTRA number on the Feb. 5 draw – 3917229.
The Saskatoon locals are looking forward to purchasing an acreage with their $100,000 windfall.
Te Hnidys purchased their winning WESTERN 649 and EXTRA ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart located 2105 8th St. E, Unit 42 in Saskatoon. They won an additional $10 in subsidiary prizes.
