SASKATOON — In light of the upcoming Saskatchewan Day long weekend, the city has announced changes to its office hours, ensuring residents and visitors are informed of the altered schedule.
On Monday, Aug. 7, all administrative offices will be closed in observance of the Saskatchewan Day holiday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 8 a.m.
The city also wants to alert visitors to Saskatoon that Remai Modern, a prominent cultural destination, will be closed on Monday, Aug. 7.
Additionally, all public libraries will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 6, and Monday, Aug. 7, and reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
Motorists planning to visit downtown will have free parking in city-run parking spots. However, the city advises everyone to follow all other parking requirements, including time limits. The municipal impound lot will not release vehicles on Monday.
Waste collections for garbage, organics, and recycling will proceed as scheduled, and residents are encouraged to consult the Saskatoon Waste Wizard app or visit for more detailed information.
