While in Cuba, the temperature was +30c except for the two days when a cold front moved through the Caribbean and it dropped to +18c. High winds blew up to 10-12 foot waves with the beach being red flagged until the weather cleared. Side trips were to Havana (the capital city), a catamaran trip and swimming with the dolphins. (Austin was even kissed by one). Christmas Eve and New Years Eve saw beautiful banquets with lobster and champagne topped off with dozens of desserts. Later there were colorful stage shows with dancing, singing and bands that went on through the night. Saltcoats Library Christmas Hamper Raffle winner was Emily Maddaford. Over the holidays, Norma Bruce had a nice time with daughter Linda, Bob and her family (the Wagner family of five from Revelstoke, BC). For new years Linda and Norma travelled to Lacombe, AB to bring in the new year with grandchildren at the home of granddaughter Camille and Kevin Barlsch. Great thanks for the wonderful support of the Museum "Sunday Brunch". Variety and wonderful food.
