Ribbon cut to mark opening of Preeceville health centre gazebo

The residents of the Preeceville and District Health Centre will be enjoying a new addition of a large outdoor gazebo. The steel framed gazebo measures 10 feet by 20 feet and was placed on a cement pad.

聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The residents of the Preeceville and District Health Centre will be enjoying a new addition of a large outdoor gazebo. The steel framed gazebo measures 10 feet by 20 feet and was placed on a cement pad.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The gazebo was purchased by the hostal auxiliary through numerous 聽fundraising efforts. It was placed in memory of Harry Petrowski. Sheldon Luciw, Riley Erickson and Jamie Lario volunteered their time in laying the ground work for the cement pad.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Gerald Ignatiuk sponsored the cement pad in memory of his parents, Bill and Tina Ignatiuk.聽 The flower pots that surround the gazebo was placed in memory of Mary M Petrowski and Mary Yawney.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The special dinner celebrating the unveiling invited all the volunteers who spent countless hours building or preparing the site for the gazebo.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 "We never thought that this moment would ever happen," said Hope Luciw, hostel auxiliary president. "After more than three years and countless fundraisers we are finally here. It is a true testament what can be accomplished if we all work together."聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Aaron Halifax, the new recreation director and continued care assistant, recited a letter from Monica Dutchak, hospital manager.

"I regret not being able to be with you for this event of the patio opening for the Preeceville Long Term Care. I want to acknowledge the auxiliary members and Hope Luciw for leading the crew. This patio has been the vision for us for a long time but due to budget constraints could not be done on our own. It is the auxiliary who made this happen.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淭he residents really love this quiet area where they can enjoy the sun, the outdoors, the raised garden and flowers,鈥 she said. 鈥淚t looks like there has been a lot of hard work and thought put into this project.

鈥淭hanks to all the volunteers, staff who did the work and everyone who worked hard on the project. It is a job well done and will be enjoyed by families and residents for many sunny days to come,鈥 she said.
