Pat Sykes of Preeceville said she was too excited to sleep after discovering her August 25 Lotto Max ticket was a $100,000 Extra winner.

“I feel humbled and blessed to have won,” she said. “I was completely shocked. All I could say was, ‘Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!’

“I called my spouse and told him the news,” she said. “I told him to come to the drug store because I won $100,000. He couldn’t believe it either.

“I didn’t sleep very well that night!”

The happy winner said she doesn’t have any plans for her winnings yet, but is considering something big for the future.

“We’d really like to go to Iceland!,” she said.

Sykes purchased her winning Lotto Max and Extra ticket at Paul’s Drugs Ltd., located at 107 Main Street in Preeceville.
