Preeceville health centre long term care residents active in March

The residents and staff at the Preeceville and District Health Centre, long term care, had a busy month of March with many activities and visitors, according to its monthly newsletter.

The residents and staff at the Preeceville and District Health Centre, long term care, had a busy month of March with many activities and visitors, according to its monthly newsletter.

The month kicked off with a birthday celebration for Ivy Peterson who turned 101 on March 1. The monthly birthday party was sponsored by the Anglican Church.

            The hostel auxiliary sponsored a pie social on March 17 in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

            The Preeceville Grade 3 class visited with the residents on March 22.

            Churches responsible for the weekly church service included the Evangel Tabernacle, Fellowship, Anglican and Lutheran.

            Entertainment for the month included Pastor Hein Bertram, Orville Drobot and Company, Lindy Steppan, Stella Holmes, Mike Lazaruk and Company, Willie Jakubowski and Company, the Old Colony Choir and the Mennonite choir.

            Residents enjoyed the routine exercises of walking and bingo. There was time for reminiscing, baking, and for weekly Bible studies.
