There were more birthday cakes decorated for the Keen Age Society鈥檚 birthday celebrations for September and October then there were celebrants on October 18.
The celebrants were John Oystryk and Marge Shewchuk. Accepting the challenge to provide the birthday cakes for the celebration were: Elsie Carsen, Rose Arent and Olga Baulin.
The Keen Age members organized the birthday celebrations to be held in conjunction with the Society鈥檚 Thanksgiving Day potluck dinner making for a wonderful feast, said Edith Kotzer, a spokesperson for the society.
鈥淭he variety of dishes brought were astounding and very mouth watering. No one went home hungry!鈥�
The membership gathered with the intent on having fun, celebrating and sharing in a feast, Kotzer said.
鈥淔or entertainment, cards, shuffleboard and pool were played. One group sang songs. Jean Zarazun, the social convenor, greeted those attending and said Grace before the feast.鈥�
