New faces at Sturgis Elementary School

Allyson Grywacheski has joined the staff at the Sturgis Elementary School. She is originally from Norquay and received her bachelor of secondary education degree from the University of Regina where she majored in sociology and minored in English.

            Allyson Grywacheski has joined the staff at the Sturgis Elementary School. She is originally from Norquay and received her bachelor of secondary education degree from the University of Regina where she majored in sociology and minored in English.

            She did her internship at Melville Composite School, teaching English and social studies. Her first teaching position was at Sturgis Composite High School from September to November in 2015. She also was a substitute teacher at schools through the area and taught at Invermay from February to June in 2015.

            In the Sturgis Elementary School, she will be teaching students in Kindergarten and Grade 2.

"I hope to be helping to coach junior girls volleyball with a few other possibilities," she said.

            Sherry Lesser, who had taught at the Sturgis Composite High School for four years, made the move to the Sturgis Elementary to teach in the Grade 1 classroom.
