SASKATOON - A man and woman charged after a large drug bust in Saskatoon had court appearances.
Jason Draude, 42, appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court Oct. 4 and the matter was adjourned to Oct. 14 when he is expected to appear by CCTV for a show cause hearing.
Saskatoon Police (SPS) and SPS Guns and Gang Unit arrested Draude and 24-year-old Macayla Wolfe in September following a joint investigation.
According to Saskatoon Police they observed activity consistent with drug trafficking.
Police raided a home at approximately 5 p.m. on Sept. 9 where they seized 1.47 kilograms of methamphetamine, $9,550 cash, 52.6 grams of crack cocaine, 15.7 grams of MDMA, and a prohibited firearm.
They arrested Draude outside the residence in the 200 block of Avenue X North. He was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and MDMA, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, five firearms-related offences, and possession of forged documents.
Police say when Wolfe was arrested she had Methamphetamine, cash and bear spray in her possession. She was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, and two weapons-related offences.
Wolfe was released from custody and appears next in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Oct. 19.
