Imagine winning on a Scratch ’n’ Win ticket, thinking you had just pocketed $100. Now imagine you had actually won $10,000.
That’s what happened to Eunice Coghill of Kamsack when her Bingo Double Deal ticket won much more than she had expected.
“I knew I had the four corners, so I thought I had won $100,” she said. “I left the ticket on the counter for a few days then decided to take it to the store to check it. The lady there scanned it and told me I won $10,000.”
“The retailer was actually more excited than I was,” Coghill said. “I think I was in total shock. I actually felt stunned. I never expected to win that much.”
Coghill then called her husband to tell him the good news, said a news release from SaskLotteries.
“I said, ‘You know that $100 ticket? Well, it turned out to be a $10,000 winner!’” she laughed. “He was just as surprised as I was.”
The happy winner said she has yet to decide what she wants to do with her winnings, but thinks she and her husband will go on a trip sometime soon, the release said.
Coghill purchased her $10,000-winning ticket at Bucks Dollar Store, located at 320-Third Avenue 鶹ýAV in Kamsack.
