Items from Eaglestone Lodge

The month of November was busy.

The month of November was busy. It started with a Remembrance Day service held by members of the Kamsack Legion branch, and now, the Lodge is beginning to look a lot like Christmas with the residents decorating the Christmas tree while listening to music and then putting up decorations around the building.

Another exciting event was when the Tan Jay clothing company came in to give the residents a chance to shop, while members of the staff did Christmas gift shopping for some families.

Eaglestone auxiliary put on a tea and bake sale and residents shopped for goodies. This gave them a chance to dress up and visit with friends.

Two nurses came in and gave our residents and staff the flu shots (not so exciting).

Our monthly birthday party was hosted by members of the Ukrainion Catholic Church who sang Christmas carols in Ukrainian and then Glen Leson sang songs. The day was completed with the serving of birthday cake.

Our residents who come out to exercise daily receive a coupon and with this coupon they can go shopping once a month at our tuck shop. The tuck shop includes soaps, lotions, writing pads, small blankets and treats.

Walter Dubasoff, a resident, added a little fun at the Lodge when he bought some jelly beans and decided to hold a jelly bean contest.
