Influenza clinics begin at Sunrise Health Region

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The first influenza clinic in Preeceville was held November 2 at the Preeceville Club 60. Health nurses in attendance were Deb Grywechesky of Preeceville; Carol Heskin of Norquay, and Kelly Strelioff of Canora.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 "It is very important to get the influenza vaccine," said Heskin. "The influenza vaccine is a safe, effective way for people to protect themselves and those close to them during the influenza season.

鈥淭he vaccination protects you against four different strains of influenza,鈥 she said. 鈥淲e recommend that everyone six-months old and up should get vaccinated.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The second clinic in the area was held at the Sturgis READ club on Monday. Others will follow at Preeceville Club 60 on November 16 and December 13.
