We are very proud to have 7 graduates in 2013 from Esterhazy Central High School that call Dubuc "home". Congratulations to: Carrie and Simone Naylor, twin daughters of Cara and Simon; Cole Nagy, son of Celina and Curtis; Becky Marshall, daughter of Terri and Fred; Shelby Kaczur, daughter of Bernie and Wayne; Deanne Closson, daughter of Carol and Reg; and last but not least, Kate Ackroyd, daughter of Lindsey and Bill.

Wednesday to Saturday visitors with Alan and Betty Willway were Judie/Ron Clayton from Grinnell, Iowa and Harvey and Susan Mathias of Smithland, Iowa. The Willways met Claytons and Mathiases during their annual snowbird vacations in Palm Shadows.

Ed and Margie Oldham were weekend visitors at their cottage and were welcome guests at Saturday morning coffee row. Ed had celebrated his big "official senior" birthday on Friday and brought treats and bought coffee for everyone.

Elaine (Smulan) and Ken Domier of Edmonton, AB were Saturday visitors at coffee row. They were accompanied by Elaine's sister, Gail (Smulan) Helmeczi of Esterhazy. Following coffee row, they were invited to lunch and a continued visit with their cousin, Leona (Smulan) and Joe Kaczur. Another cousin, Don and Glenda Bell, also joined them to catch up on family news. The Domiers were enroute to Minnesota, USA where Ken is a guest speaker at a Norwegian conference known as Nordlandlogit. Ken is very interested in genealogy and researching family history, especially, since he has retired from teaching at the university.

Several local couples attended the RM #184 100th anniversary celebration held in Grayson on Friday evening. A lovely roast beef supper was served.

Although attendance was down because of the rain, Moose Bay Greenhouse, Judy Kraushnar and staff, hosted another successful garden tea party on Saturday afternoon. Vivian Talbot was the lucky winner of a handy door prize and also of a lovely raffle prize.

Chad Yaremko of Toronto visited with his grandparents, Earle and Nina Moller, for a few days this week. While here, Chad accompanied Earle and Nina to coffee row where he renewed acquaintances with the regulars.

Also on Tuesday at coffee row, Don Bell treated everyone to "free coffee" and muffins on the occasion of his birthday. Many Happy Returns, Don, and thank you very much!

Sharon Clark took an eleven day holiday out to Cochrane. Alberta where she visited daughter Tammey and Sam Nuygen and boys before spending a few days with son, Darrell Clark, and his fiancé, Sandra Chabot, at Strathmore.

Darrell and Sandra are planning a summer wedding so Sharon attended a bridal shower in Sandra's honor which was held in Innisfail, AB. Congratulations on your recent engagement, Darrell and Sandra! We wish you all the best.

Enroute to and from Alberta, Sharon visited with Stacey (Lana) Clark and family at Clavet and Crystal (Peter) Semchychen and family in Saskatoon. Varmitt, her little pooch, stayed with the Semchychens for a holiday, as well. Austin, Brayden and Larrissa Clark returned to Dubuc with Grandma to spend two weeks of summer holidays with her. While all her family was safe and dry in the Alberta flooding, Sharon saw evidence of how really unbelievable the devastation was.

Get well quick wishes go out to Jim Talbot who had some minor hand surgery in Regina on Wednesday.

Alan and Betty Willway motored to Saskatoon to attend the convocation exercises at the University of Saskatchewan. Their grandson, Layne Peterson, received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy on June 6. The following day, they also attended a service recognition banquet at the Delta Bessborough to see presentations made to teachers with 25 years of service and to a special group of superannuates. Their daughter, Verone and hubby, Barry Charington were honored in this special group. While in Saskatoon, they enjoyed a visit with Alan's cousin, Laurie Coldwell, who recently moved from Victoria, BC into Bright Water Senior Living of Stonebridge.

The community was saddened to hear of the passing of life time district resident, Len Simle, at the Centennial Special Care Home in Esterhazy on June 9. A memorial is planned for July 12.
