It's business as usual for COVID-19 in Manitoba and Saskatchewan - Manitoba cases are going up, while Saskatchewan cases are heading down.
Manitoba reported 18 new cases, split between Winnipeg (nine), Prairie Mountain Health (seven) and Â鶹´«Ã½AVern Health-Sante Sud (two).
Two of the Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) cases were found in patients at the Brandon Regional Health Centre's Assiniboine Centre. Three patients and two health care workers at the site have tested positive for COVID-19.
Manitoba has reported 1,232 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, with 459 of those people still sick with the disease. Up-to-date information on hospitalizations was not given by the province Sept. 1, with a "technical issue" being cited.
Two more possible public exposures to COVID-19 have been reported, both in Brandon - at Warlock Tattoo August 19 from 11:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m., August 25 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., August 26 from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m., August 27 from noon-5 p.m. and August 28 from 10:45 a.m.-4 p.m. and at East Side Mario's August 23 from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Anyone who attended these locations during the listed times are asked to isolate themselves and self-monitor for symptoms.
Saskatchewan reported another net drop in total cases Tuesday, reporting three new cases and six recoveries from the disease. While the location of one case is unknown, one case each was found in Saskatoon and in north central Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan is now down to 31 active cases of COVID-19, with one of those in the west area of the far north.
