BREDENBURY - Wedding wishes

Dave and Gloria Herron travelled to Abbortsford, BC for a week to visit Lorne and Julianne Herron. While there they attended the Abbortsford airshow and travelled to Vancouver to visit Stanley Park and many other interesting sites.

Congratulations to Don and Elaine Low who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They are former residents of Bredenbury and now live in Yorkton.

Congratulations to Dora Hnatuik who celebrated her 90th birthday this past weekend. Many friends and family attended the celebration in Yorkton at the Jowsey House.

Lana and Mario Sumner returned to Seattle after spending three weeks with her parents Adrian and Louise McLachlan. They enjoyed the Thorvaldson Reunion and meeting all their cousins and relatives. The reunion brought together the decendants of late Kristjan & Jonina Thorvaldson and was held at Prairie Oasis in Moose Jaw, August 19-21. There were over 175 family members who came from far and wide to share and participate in many activities. The first family reunion was held at Millar and Lillian Steuomona farm in 1953, Spiritwood Acres in 1994 and Prairie Oasis, Moose Jaw in 2003.

The Knox United church held their first service after summer holidays on Sept. 4. Services are at 10:20 a.m. every Sunday. Everyone welcome to attend.

Visiting with Adrian & Louise were Don, Terrie and Joan Feather of Saskatoon this past weekend. Stan Bembridge of Edmonton is visiting with Glenn Cowan and family.

Knox United Church will be having a Craft Show on Sat., Nov. 26 at the Bredenbury Community Hall from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Book your tables early to avoid disappointment. Call Louise at 306-898-2034 or Margaret at 306-898-2122.

The Bredenbury Sunnyside Golf Course held their final Membership Tournament for the season on Sunday with 26 golfers taking part. A delicious roast beef supper was served after the tournament. Draw winners were Judy Leppington, Churchbridge Co-op; Darren Dyke, Ming's Cafe; Darren Dyke, Bredenbury Grocery. Thanks to all the people who helped in any way to make this a successful day. Big thanks to all the people who donated prizes for all the tournaments this year. Hope to see you all out golfing again next year.
