The Lions Community Picnic and Centennial Kick off has been rescheduled to Tues., May 28, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. on the 200 block of 3rd Street. The Lions will be hosting their annual Community Picnic with a Centennial kick Off. There will be free hot dogs, hamburgers, beans, salads and ice cream. Everyone Welcome. Hopefully the weather will co-operate by then but if not the Community Hall will be utilized for the event.

The Centennial Celebrations will still go on even though the skating rink will probably not be able to be used. Some large tents have been rented and checking into getting more. Please watch for more details as to the location of where the events will go on. Some of the street banners have been received and the rest have been ordered. They are hoping to have some of them up for the Kick Off May 28. Orders will still be taken if you would like to order one for your family. Contact town office or Fred Nicholson. The first order of t-shirts have been received and if you want to order soon contact town office or Louise McLachlan. For colours & sizing check in at the Town Office.

The United Church would like to thank everyone who donated, worked or attended our last beef luncheon till next fall. Your support was greatly appreciated.

Home this past weekend visiting Gerald & Darlene Burman were Charlie, Penny, Doug & Kate LaRocque of Brandon. Daryl, Pat and Sheldon Rowland of Prince Albert and other family members gathered to celebrate Darlene's Birthday.

John & Peggy Gill of Saskatoon were visiting Fred and Margaret Nicholson and helped celebrate their great granddaughter's first birthday - Abigail Patzwald.

Get well wishes to Jean Thorsness and Martha Hayward who are in the hospital.

Deepest sympathy from the community to the Dave Salamon family of Bredenbury on the passing of his wife Noreen.
