We have received news of the passing of Isabelle Brown (Aug. 26, 1915 - April 1, 2013) at the age of 97. She loved to dance, curl, play darts, play cards, especially whist and she enjoyed her many trips across the border to gamble. Sympathy of the community also goes out to the eight siblings who survive her: Mary McAuley, Margaret (John) West, Jean (Bill) Buchanan, Ron (Melba) McAlpine, Patricia McBain, Vivian Hogarth, Stewart (Marian) McAlpine and Gerry (Jeanie) McAlpine and many nieces and nephews.

Snowbirds Susan and Leon Powell are back from their winter travels. They left us in October and are at least finally back to enjoy some of our snow before it's gone!!! They were back at coffee row on Tuesday morning as well. The Powells were especially welcomed because they bought coffee and brought chocolates and other treats for all of us. Welcome back, Sue and Leon!
