A. R Cash, the Johnny Cash tribute band, played a sold out concert when they took to the stage in Preeceville on October 12.

"I think the concert really well." said Stacey Strykowski, organizer. "I’ve gotten lots of compliments on the show and how nice it was to have such an event right in our community. I was overwhelmed with all the support. The 50/50 raffle was $850 which was won by Joy Reber. I’ve never seen a 50/50 go that high in our community before. We had people from all ages there. It was nice to have such a diverse audience. We weren’t sure we could comfortably fit over 400 people in the hall but I think it worked out nicely. I’m very proud of the volunteers who helped put this on and of our community for being there to support it. We will certainly look at bringing them back again if there’s enough interest," she said.

The event was sponsored by the Preeceville and District Health Action Committee. All proceeds will be used towards health care in Preeceville focusing on doctor recruitment and retention, said Strykowski.

The concert style event featured a full bar, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages and 50/50 tickets. A late lunch was provided free of charge after the show.
