A. R Cash, the Johnny Cash tribute band, played a sold out concert when they took to the stage in Preeceville on October 12.
"I think the concert really well." said Stacey Strykowski, organizer. "I鈥檝e gotten lots of compliments on the show and how nice it was to have such an event right in our community. I was overwhelmed with all the support. The 50/50 raffle was $850 which was won by Joy Reber. I鈥檝e never seen a 50/50 go that high in our community before. We had people from all ages there. It was nice to have such a diverse audience. We weren鈥檛 sure we could comfortably fit over 400 people in the hall but I think it worked out nicely. I鈥檓 very proud of the volunteers who helped put this on and of our community for being there to support it. We will certainly look at bringing them back again if there鈥檚 enough interest," she said.
The event was sponsored by the Preeceville and District Health Action Committee. All proceeds will be used towards health care in Preeceville focusing on doctor recruitment and retention, said Strykowski.
The concert style event featured a full bar, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages and 50/50 tickets. A late lunch was provided free of charge after the show.
Manitoba's Aaron Prociuk is the real deal when it comes to performing a tribute to Johnny Cash, stated information from the band鈥檚 website.听Growing up in the countryside of East St. Paul and inspired by the music biopic听鈥淲alk The Line鈥�,听Aaron听taught himself how to play听guitar听at the age of 15.

With the听addition of acclaimed听country songstress听听to portray听June Carter Cash,听they have won听the hearts of music lovers throughout the past year听while performing in sold-out venues across Canada. Backing them is a veritable who's who of Manitoba听musicians with the core members听being听听(lead guitar), Brian Lucoe (bass/keyboards), and听听(诲谤耻尘蝉.)
听"Our goal is to captivate听the audience and bring them back to a time when Johnny Cash was a household name around the world," stated Prociuk, "we perform the hits from听only that听era such as Ring Of Fire, Jackson, and Folsom Prison Blues听which makes us unique."
