The Saltcoats Volunteer Fire Department was busy Saturday and it was not a fire call-out.
The department started early with a ‘Drive Thru’ Pancake and sausage breakfast at the Fire Hall starting a 7 a.m.
It was a kick-off to a town-wide ‘Garage Sale’ Day.
Then in the afternoon the fire crew moved its attention to the Saltcoats Regional Park where they hosted a ‘Show and Shine’ which attracted a number of fancy cars and trucks that were shining in the hot sun.
