Yorkton and area was offered the chance to see and listen to local metal and rock artists at Warehouse Mayhem II held the evening of July 31st at the Yorkton Agri-Pavilion at the Gallagher Centre.

The concert featured eight bands from Yorkton and area, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. and the concert beginning at 5:30 p.m. Each band was given the opportunity to perform their music for approximately 30 minutes before moving to the next band.

Event organizer Mitch Doll commented that, "the bands have to put on their own shows to be heard," because they love to play and want people to hear their music. Doll says the format of multiple bands was chosen because it draws a larger crowd, and allows "bands to go back to their respective cities and know other bands in the same genre."

To make Warehouse Meyhem II a success each band helps with equipment, bringing what they have and then sharing with those that need equipment. Doll says all profits from Warehouse Meyhem II will be split evenly amongst the bands, so that the concert is "for the bands and gives to the bands."
