Myrtle Zenkewich, a Food Service Attendant at McDonald's Restaurant -Yorkton, was named the 2010 Employee of the Year at the recent Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Employee Recognition Event. Myrtle was one of twenty employees nominated for the prestigious award.In order to be eligible for the award, an employee must have been employed by the business for 2 full years or more. Myrtle has been with McDonald's for nearly 15 years! Members of the public and employers were encouraged to submit nominations.
In her nomination, Myrtle was described as giving "fast and friendly service" and is someone who is "an excellent example of a strong work ethic." McDonald's owners, Dean & Tricia Shyiak said that Myrtle is a great asset to the staff team. "Myrtle provides excellent customer service and goes the extra step to look after everyone," said Dean. Dolores Harris, Chair of the Chamber's Marketing and Communications Committee is pleased that Myrtle is the recipient of the 4th Annual Employee of the Year Award. "Myrtle personifies the spirit of the Award with her friendly manner and commitment to service", she said. "All of the nominees are outstanding employees and are deserving of the recognition they received by being nominated for the Award."
