The purpose of the new firehall is to provide fire and safety protection to the people of Yorkton and area. The shared goal of protecting people all while maintaining a vision for our future was a goal kept at the fore front of the design process. This shared vision ensured the creation of a hall that will serve this community for decades.
Congratulations to all those involved in the creation of the new firehall. Many hands worked countless hours to develop and implement the delivery of the firehall. This building is just one example of what can be accomplished in our community when individuals and organizations come together in pursuit of a common purpose.
A special thanks to those firefighters of the firehall who contributed immensely in the design of the building. The City management and staff who provided support and guidance, and the many contractors that brought it all together. Thank you to the people of Yorkton for your vision to develop a legacy that will continually shine in our downtown.
